SYNOPSIS
16th century. Magellan, a young and ambitious Portuguese navigator, rebels against the king’s power after being denied support for his dream of discovering the world. He convinces the Spanish Crown to finance his daring expedition toward the legendary lands of the East.
The voyage proves far more exhausting than expected, with hunger and mutiny pushing the crew to the brink. Upon reaching the islands of the Malay Archipelago, Magellan’s mind shifts—he becomes obsessed with conquest and conversion, sparking violent uprisings that spiral out of his control.
This is not the legend of Magellan, but the truth of his voyage.
